COMMUNITY

  1. Apple Tree Preschool, Inc. is a community that supports each other. Parents & staff work together to make this first school experience a positive one for the individual child, the classes, the school, and families involved. There are many opportunities for parents & caretakers to participate in the child’s school experience, while still being respectful of parents’ busy schedules and need to plan ahead. Social activities during the school day such as holiday performances and parties, extracurricular activities such as attending local sports events together, and service projects such as supporting local organizations that serve people in need are just a few of the ways we connect and grow with one another.
  2. Apple Tree Preschool, Inc. serves the community around us in Oneida County and beyond. What better way to demonstrate teamwork and show children that we all indeed are in need of care at times and able to be the caregiver at times, than by having the children come alongside us to serve the community together. From collecting non-perishables and monetary donations for the local Vets and making thank you posters, to families and staff purchasing Christmas gifts for local children in need, to making special cards for local elders being served meals by our location’s community meal program, to raising funds through our very own lemonade stands for a scholarship to honor the memory of one our preschool family’s and staff’s beloved niece/cousin, we can show our children many different acts of love and service right here at school and at home.
  3. Apple Tree Preschool, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that has been so blessed to be the recipients of community support, including: – Go Fund Me & donations in August/September 2024 as we opened our doors in record time with next to no supplies or equipment. – Zion Lutheran Church Endowment Fund Grant that allowed us to purchase new computers and play rugs in December 2024. – Community Foundation’s Community Investment Fund Grant to help us put in a new outdoor play area in September 2025. – Community Foundation’s Mohawk Valley Gives Fund & community supporters through Mohawk Valley Gives to help make upgrades in September 2025. Grateful does not begin to cover it. Thank you.
